This Power Point is designed to accompany an introductory biology unit. It surveys many of the properties of water that allow life to exist on Earth. Topics include cohesion, adhesion, surface tension, polarity, hydrogen bonding, solvents, and buffers. It can be used with any testbook, but it is specifically formatted to follow Prentice Hall's Biology text, Chapter 4, Section 4.
There is a student note version that can be printed as a hadout available as a separate file. There are references in the Power Point to a water lab that is also available in a separate file. The notes are designed to be given after the discovery lab.
