For this project, students will use information they have learned about the water crisis in Mexico City and how those issues are being addressed to create a water management plan. They will be asked to identify the problems Mexico City is facing and come up with original or improved ideas about how those problems can be solved. This activity encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as an awareness of the world students live in.
This would be best used as an assessment at the end of a unit covering the earth's water resources. Includes a rubric for grading.
