One of the most difficult things I have to do as an SLP is incorporate classroom content in Speech Therapy sessions when I am working with students from different grades in one group. Literacy units is one great answer to this dilemma. And here is my latest. "Water is Water", by Miranda Paul covers the water cycle through the four seasons of the year, as well as through everyday events and objects. This story is a great companion to studying the water cycle, states of matter, natural resources, conservation, and weather. While the book is not included in this packet and must be purchased separately, and while I have no affiliation with the author, I have put together a few speech and language activities that go with the story. Some activities are better suited to younger elementary grades (K-2nd), while other activities are better suited for older elementary grades (3rd – 5th). Have fun!
