This art lesson includes all you need to make a meaningful and exciting lesson for any age in middle school. I use it for my 6th grade class.
I include fun activating strategy activities to check for understanding and engage students. The materials needed for the activities are easily accessable and can be used over and over again.
Materials you need are pencils, watercolor paint sets, brushes, watercolor paper (coldpress), crayons that include analogous colors, sharpies or a black marker and regular drawing paper. I included great printables that can assist students with drawing insects and flowers. All you have to do is print, laminate and cut out!
This lesson goes great with my Color Theory powerpoint. I use that to introduce this material. I have also included the summative quiz that I give at the end of the project that goes along with the material taught and seen in the powerpoint!
