This product is a creative writing template about Watermelons. Each year in my classroom we have a Watermelon Day. Students get to sample the watermelon and then we generate a list of descriptive words as a class. The students pick two words from our class descriptive word list to add in their Watermelon writing page. After writing the students can decorate the watermelon pieces at the top of the page using an art technique of your choice. In my classroom we use sponges dipped in red and green paint to sponge paint the picture. On occasion we have used the real seeds from the watermelon to glue on the watermelon painting once the paint is dry. The activity turns out so cute and is perfect to add to student portfolios, to hang in the hallways or to send home to parents.
