Description

Predict, Describe, Write, Taste, Graph, Collect Data, HAVE FUN LEARNING! The Watermelon Mission has .easy to follow, step by step directions with just a little preparation that makes for two of my favorite and most successful "slide into summer" lessons! They are both highly motivating and are designed to keep students on track. The first lesson is a creative writing project that encourages descriptive writing with "juicy" words. Students will predict, describe, and record using their five senses and a juicy slice of watermelon! Part I of the lesson will be used as a springboard for writing that creates a fun, summer bulletin board. The second lesson is a watermelon product taste test that will be sure to lure in the most reluctant learners! Students will taste test, collect data, record and graph on easy to use printables. Your class will LOVE these lessons!
