In Watershed players travel down a stream passing a variety of possible sources of water pollutants. At any time the player can choose to test the water. When testing the water a screen appears with a variety of tests, including sediment, heavy metals, organic waste, petrochemicals, and several more. The player must evaluate the tests s/he chooses to run (in the "Hard" version tests have costs). Next, a mediation options screen opens where the player sees an oblique version of the screen s/he was on when testing. A series of mediation options are available, and the player chooses where they are likely to function best. Scores are based on effectiveness of mediation technique coupled with location (a great technique in an ineffective location will not earn points). When finished the player continues downstream and has more opportunities to learn. This could be played by a group on a whiteboard with decisions made collaboratively.
