Is your class reading the novel The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963? This is a great review game!
Every member of your class can participate with these 36 questions that review the entire novel.
This review is a twist of the classic I Have... Who Has... game.
Each student will be given a card. One question and one answer is on each card. A student will begin by asking his or her question on the card. The student that has the answer on his or her card will announce the answer. Then that same student will ask the question from his or her card. This continues until every question has been asked and answered. The game ends when the first student to ask a question gives their answer. Specific directions and suggestions are included.
Every student is given a chance to ask and answer a question.
If the class is stuck and does not know an answer, the cards are numbered. Therefore, if a student asks a question from card number 4, the answer is in the hand of the student holding card number 5. This allows your class to get back on track for the review game very quickly.
This game can be made more challenging by setting a timer and encouraging students to beat the clock.
The cards can be easily reshuffled and redistributed for multiple rounds of play.
I hope you enjoy this game with your classroom!
