What educators are saying

This was a fabulous resources to review waves. I was able to break it up and use the slides to review. It was perfect!
This was a fantastic resource that I used for both my in-person students and my remote students and it was great! Aligned to NGSS standards
Also included in
  1. This bundle includes my online unit and my printable unit for Waves Fourth Grade. These units have different activities, but they address the same standards. This resource is for someone that needs both printable materials and Google app materials to teach about waves. These two resources are bundle

Description

This is an online unit on Waves for Fourth grade. Students will learn about sound waves and ocean waves, transverse waves, and longitudinal waves. Students will learn about amplitude and wavelength and that waves transfer energy rather than matter. Students will learn the parts of the wave: crest, trough, amplitude, and will learn that waves can cause objects to move.

This resource is designed to address the standards:

NGSS 4-PS4-1. Develop a model of waves to describe patterns in terms of amplitude and wavelength and that waves can cause objects to move.

This resource also covers Utah SEEd standards.

Utah SEEd Standard 4.3.1 Develop and use a model to describe the regular patterns of waves. Emphasize patterns in terms of amplitude and wavelength. Examples of models could include diagrams, analogies, and physical models such as water or rope. (PS4.A)

This is an online unit in Google Slides.  You will be asked by TPT to put a copy of this resource in your drive. You can select a personal drive or a school drive. Some districts do not allow google for their school. It is up to you to determine if this is a resource you can use before you purchase.

This resource is meant to be online and is perfect for distance learning or Google Classroom.  If you are looking for a printable resource I have one that covers the same topics and standards but is printable.

NGSS4-PS4-1
Develop a model of waves to describe patterns in terms of amplitude and wavelength and that waves can cause objects to move. Examples of models could include diagrams, analogies, and physical models using wire to illustrate wavelength and amplitude of waves. Assessment does not include interference effects, electromagnetic waves, non-periodic waves, or quantitative models of amplitude and wavelength.
