A wax museum is a fun and interactive way to get your students learning! This is, by far, my most favorite project that I do with my students all year long! And it's their favorite part, too! It allows them to be creative and show their personality through their character. I am always amazed at how much thought they put into it to make it feel like that person is really in our classroom!
The project generally consists of three parts: research of a historical person, creating a trifold presentation board and then presenting it to families.
The kids love learning about someone that interests them and they are learning how to conduct research and eventually speak in a public setting.
Pages included are:
*Notes on how I use this project in my classroom
*20 Student work/examples (slide show)
*Student top 3 choices
*Teacher planner page
*Wax museum research pages and final draft trifold pages (biography, portrait, character traits, famous quotes, timeline and presentation script)
*A general note home for parents

I hope your students enjoy this project as much as mine do!
