This document is filled with helpful information for teachers looking to create and assign a Wax Museum project for their students.
In this Wax Museum project, students select a historical character that fits within a broad historical theme, and deliver a monologue while dressed as their character. There are 16 themes to choose from, such as "When cultures meet, both sides can benefit," or "Even good leaders can make major or important mistakes." In this project, students are also asked to create a prop that symbolizes or relates to their Big Idea.
In addition to an explanation of the project, this document includes answers to frequently asked questions, a detailed rubric for quick and easy grading, and a two-page student planning worksheet to help students through each step of the project.
