Product Description

Students will envision their design and choose their dessert to create in the style of Wayne Thiebaud. They will learn about 1960s Pop Art and how Wayne Thiebaud’s art exhibits some of the Pop Art styling as well as his own interpretations.. However, unlike Pop artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, Thiebaud worked from life, not from media images, and his engagement was evident in his loose brushstroke, whereas a hard-edge painting style, signifying mechanical reproduction, was preferred by many Pop artists;

Geared toward 6th-8th grader but can be used for younger or older students; includes step by step instructions, a brief history of the artist, student work examples, step by step drawing pages, and images of the artist's work
