Product Description

Your students understand the basics of how people are paid for their work and have learned about how those types of pay may be beneficial to employer or employee. Use this lesson to fully complete this learning and ground it in the “real world.”

Students will engage with each other through teacher led discussion, student led small group discussions, and a reflective journal. Use the powerpoints, a whiteboard, and your students’ unique knowledge to create a picture of other (legal) ways people can make money besides a piecewise, salary or wage based job.

This lesson has everything you need to connect earning an income to the world at large, discuss the pros and cons of traditional work, and reflect on the equity of how people earn wealth. This unit wrap up is the perfect conclusion to your unit on earning an income but can also be used as a standalone activity for students to learn about this concept.
