Description
This bundle includes several activities to help your students learn to compose and decompose the numbers 5 and 10. By using these hands-on activities students will learn ways to make 5 and ways to make 10.
The activities are easy to prep and use basic classroom manipulatives: plastic bears, plastic math cubes, and red/yellow two sided counters.
All activities include an "I Can" visual directions page and a recording sheet, which makes these great for math centers. But you can also use the activities without the recording sheets in a morning tub or fast finisher bin.
There are enough activities for at least 20 different making five and making ten math centers!
Several different themes are included to help keep the activities fresh and new for students. You might decide to use one theme in a teacher led station to show students how to complete the task, and use the other themes for independent work.
