This unit was designed as a final activity after teaching CCSS 2.G.2. It took my class two days to complete this project.
Students in this activity will use their understanding of CCSS 2.G.2 to:
demonstrate how to partition a rectangle into rows and columns of same-sized squares and count to find the total amount of them.
The objective is to build a new building out of same sized squares and create repeated addition and multiplication sentences. Students will put all their buildings together to create a town then answer questions about the buildings to compare.
If you have any questions, please ask before purchasing.
