Have you read We Forgot Brock to/with your class? Would you like to assess your students’ knowledge of the reading? Would you like give your students a 21st Century style assessment that saves you a great deal of time creating and grading the assessment?
With this download, you will receive links and simple-to-follow directions on how to duplicate and add this 10-question digital assessment to either/both your Google Forms or Microsoft Forms accounts. With a few simple clicks, you will possess an easy-to-share, automatically graded assessment that can be assessed on desktops or mobile devices.
Once you have duplicated the digital assessment, you will be able to add, modify, or delete any/all questions. The assessment is basically yours once you have duplicated it. The assessment is ready to go with the correct answer key (of course the students will not see).
The assessments are similar in nature to other mass digital reading assessment programs (Accelerated Reader). In fact, at my school, we use these quizzes as an accountability tool with a reading competition for our students.
All the questions created are multiple-choice and are unique. The questions cover story elements such as characters, plot, sequence, and author's purpose. Many of the questions are knowledge level questions, but there are a few that ask the students to infer. There are even questions that deal with grade appropriate vocabulary.
Once the students have taken the assessment, you will be able to review the results both individually and as a class. Data is provided and can be downloaded as an easy to use Excel Spreadsheet. You will also be able to complete an item analysis to see what questions may have given your students issues.
This book and assessment is aimed at students in KG-2nd Grade.
