Perfect for an ice-breaker or beginning of the school year activity. Give each child a card (there are 30 included). Students move around the classroom looking for their "match". For example, a student who has a sock is looking for a shoe, or a student with ketchup is looking for mustard. Once students find their partner, they introduce themselves and find out one thing about the partner. Then they can introduce their partner to the class.
In the lower grades, this also makes a great pocket chart center. Students place one color of cards on the pocket chart and match the pairs.
Worksheets are included for both activities.
