Fix It! Write It! Sentence Sequence Cut, sequence, paste the sentence together. Write and illustrate a sentence of your own. I can make a card. Who has the pink heart? “The gift is for you,” she said.
Story Sequence Cut and paste the three pictures in order. Write sentences for each to tell a story.
Pocket Chart – Sentence Sequence Differentiated
Phrase cards for 3 sentences. “I can make a” “ We have a” “for my dad” “for my mom” “for you” Students select a beginning, an ending and a picture card to complete a sentence. They can make different sentence patterns in the chart before writing one of their own.
Word cards. Students who are more comfortable can use a mix of word cards to construct their sentences. Words are in lower case so they can be used in different parts of the sentence. Includes: I, she, he, you, his, her, can, make, have, has, give, put, get, did, here, is, in, a, the, for, to
