This is a transcript of Bryan Stevenson's TED Talk, "We Need to Talk About An Injustice," accompanied by 10 questions for analysis and discussion. The transcript is freely available through the TED website, but I have formatted it for easier and cleaner printing. Time markers and page numbers are included, and the margins are wide enough for active annotation. Although this could be read as an essay, the hyperlink to his in-person talk in linked in the document and highly recommended. This TED talk serves as a powerful springboard for discussion in my class about racial justice and equity in American society. The analysis questions are aimed at upper level/AP students, but can be used or adapted for lower level students.
