These classroom "We Notice" and "We Wonder" signs are perfect for spurring inquiry in your classroom. They prompt students to think about what they notice and what they wonder about any given topic.
When I use them in my room, I post them on the wall or bulletin board and provide my students with sticky notes (see the preview file for an example). After exploring a topic (e.g., researching or getting hand-on with related items), students stick their sticky notes near the We Notice and We Wonder signs. This is an excellent way to introduce a topic, activate students' prior knowledge and spark further investigation.
