This is book #7 of a developing series of repetitive, predictable, interactive stories to help young children develop pre-reading skills, early syntactic structures, and sound awareness. It can also help to build and increase sound repertoires in children who are nonverbal or minimally verbal.
The packet includes a large book, 1/4 sheet take home books (a color book, which can be printed in grayscale for black and white books), and to use as a No Print ebook, a picture file to upload onto an iPad@, tablet, or phone.
The following skills are targeted in the story:
Phonemes: oo, ee, ah, gr, s, f, oh, eh, b, g, p, m, s, k, w, and t
Grammatic Markers: Pronoun we, article ‘a’, 3rd person plural verbs
Since children love repetition, read the story over and over. Gradually fade reading the repetitive, predictable words to give the listeners the opportunity to use the sounds and words.
