We Three Kings Writing Directions
This is an activity that you can break down between four days to teach sequencing. This is a writing activity for beginning writers.
Pass out the first page. Have students write sentences about the order of the three kings. My students wrote down “First came Casper to see Jesus.” They did the same sentence for each king. Have students keep papers for their writing later.
Pass out the second writing page. Have students write sentences about what the three kings brought as a gift for Jesus. My students wrote, “Casper gave Jesus frankincense.” They did the same for each king. Have students keep papers for their writing later.
Pass out the third paper. Students are to now write compound sentences about the three kings. My students wrote, “First came Caster and he gave Jesus frankincense.” They did the same sentence structure for the following kings.
This is the day students are to write sentences independently. I allowed my students to keep their papers from the first three days as a reference. They are to draw a picture at the top of the Three Kings. You can make this a five-day writing lesson by copying this paper again for them to “publish.”
