A soocial story on the rule of walking in school: special education, social skills, behavior management, autism, language delay, ADHD, emotional disability, inclusion.
Social stories help children who struggle with a variety of behaviors. They are short stories with visuals and pictures designed to help children learn how to behave appropriately in a specific situation. The stories can be used before or after an event and/or read with a student on a daily basis. Social stories can be used when developing a behavior intervention plan that targets specific challenging behaviors for a student. This social story focuses on the rule of walking at school. Some students like to run away or elope during school. This social story talks about why we don’t run in school and then shows examples of where we walk throughout our day, highlighting how the student, his teacher, and friends respond when everyone follows the rule of walking in school.
