Product Description
Bring the magic of Christmas into your classroom with this incredibly simple music for hand bells! Please read the following description thoroughly and be aware of what materials are needed and which are helpful.

The color coded portion of this file is intended for use with Kidsplay 8 note Diatonic hand bells. The 5 note Chromatic add-on set and the 7-note expanded range are helpful but not necessary.

The note colors are coordinated with the color of the same-tone bell. If you have hand bells of a different color, I recommend adding a piece of colored tape or sticker to match the color on the music. Otherwise, you can use the non-color coded music and either color it in, or teach your students to match their bell to its corresponding note/letter name.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas uses the notes D-High D and has an F#. If you are missing bells of some of the notes in the song, they can be easily replaced with the piano or by ”oohing” the right note on those counts.

This music was written with the following notes and rests: quarter notes, quarter rests, eighth notes, and half rests. Teaching students a basic background on how these notes are counted will be helpful but not necessary if they are familiar with the rhythm of We Wish You A Merry Christmas. The first page has “1 and 2 and 3 and” counts written out in order to help facilitate the teaching of counting eighth notes. I have omitted half notes, whole notes, and dotted half notes for ease of use with beginners and young students.

Enjoy sharing the fun and joy of playing hand bells with your students of all ages and please check out my ever-growing selection of hand bell music!
