Students identify the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation using cause and effect task cards. Manipulating the color-coded task cards will help students understand why a new government framework was necessary.
Everything is ready to print and includes:
Cause & Effect Task Cards:
Nine weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation are covered using the task cards (18 cards total). Students can work cooperatively or independently to find each governmental weakness and match it with its corresponding effect. The cards are color-coded to help students differentiate between cause and effect. A set of nine cards fit on one page. Laminating the cards or copying on card stock is recommended.
As students manipulate the cause and effect task cards, they can record their answers using the provided graphic organizer.
The answer key is set-up as a quick reference for teachers when assessing student work during the lesson.
