Students explain the failure of the Articles of Confederation using task cards!
This interactive lesson focuses on the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. The task cards are organized by cause and effect, giving students an opportunity to build foundational literacy skills and knowledge of American history.
Everything is ready to print and includes:
Cause & Effect Task Cards:
Nine weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation are covered using the task cards (18 cards total). Students can work cooperatively or independently to find each governmental weakness and match it with its corresponding effect. The cards are color-coded to help students differentiate between cause and effect. A set of six cards fit on one page. Laminating the cards or copying on card stock is recommended.
The answer key is set-up as a quick reference for teachers when assessing student work during the lesson.
