Description
Do you need to integrate technology into your classroom but you don't have the time to put together the activity? Do you want to integrate Social Studies, Math, and ELA?
Try this QR Scan & Learn activity all about Weather ~ The Sun, Clouds, Wind, Rain, and Snow.
**There is a qr codes to scan and try in the preview. It is from the Presidents pack but this allows you to try it before you buy it to make it it will work at your school!**
This pack includes:
5 Weather Cards covering The Sun, Clouds, Wind, Rain, and Snow with QR Codes on them.
1 recording sheet
Directions
You will need :
The recording sheet for each student
The weather cards. They work best not laminated since a glare can cause problems with the code.
Smart Devices with a QR Scanner on each. (This means they will have to have a camera option.) They will have to be connected to Wi-Fi. There are lots of free scanners available.
How to Play
Place the weather cards around the room or at tables.
Divide students up among devices or allow them to play in a small group.
Student will take their devices and record sheet around.
They will scan the QR code on each sheet.
They will listen to the information and use the pictures provided to learn about each weather.
(Each station is around 4 minutes or less.)
They will complete the record sheet at each station.
They do not have to go in order to complete this activity.
About the QR Codes:
Each QR code leads the students to a recording of me reading the weather sheet to them.
There are no YouTube or site links besides the links I recorded. I can not guarantee your school district will allow this site, as they can and will block what they see fit.
You will know everything I read to them because it is on the weather sheets.
You can check the record sheets to see how well your students comprehended each sheet.
To scan, your students will need to know how to open the scanner, scan the code, and go to that site.
