Students will use this differentiated critical thinking activity to determine cause-and effect relationships related to weather phenomena (aligned with Virginia SOL 4.6, but applicable to any classroom). This is a challenging way to review weather concepts!
There are two versions included in this activity:
1 - Students cut apart the sorting cards and match each cause with its effect. They can glue the pairs on the provided worksheet when finished. Alternatively, you can laminate the sorting cards for long-term use in a center.
2 - Students fill in the blanks to complete the cause-and-effect worksheet.
An answer key is provided for both worksheets.
Concepts include: high and low air pressure, warm front, cumulonimbus cloud, hail formation, hurricane, and anemometer
