I created this chart for my adult ESL Literacy and Pre-Benchmark students. It tracks information that is important for students to pay attention to in Canada. It can, however, be modified for other students and language abilities.
We do a weather activity every day, focusing on the date, the day and the weather. We use either the Weather Network or the Canadian Government website. The information will be stored here.
For assessment purposes, students could fill in the information on their own, or answer questions based on a filled in chart.
The challenge has been finding materials that are appropriate for adults in terms of layout and illustrations. I have found the Noun Project to be a good source for these added illustrations. Feel free to add them if you would like.
