This Teaching Model has three parts. 1. You will need to set up a simple weather station (or have your students watch the weather report on TV and record what they learn) 2. Discuss various Folk Lore statements about predicting the weather - "Red Sky in the Morning saliors take warning etc.etc". 3. Finally using the Student Study Sheet provided students will look at some Folk Lore sayings and using what they have learned about weather from their own observations and what really happens the next day - determine if the Folk Lore predictions are true or false
