Product Description
This is a webquest that goes into some details about the different types of weather fronts and air masses. Students first define several weather-related terms, then go to an animation that shows them how cold and warm fronts work, with explanations. The second website has more information about cold, warm, and occluded fronts (it includes stationary front information, but not as much as the other three). Students are expected to fill out a chart on what each type of front looks like on a weather map, and explain the weather (temperature, air pressure, and precipitation) before a front passes, as it passes, and after it passes. There are also some general questions with each website, as well as two extra-credit questions.
