The overarching goal of this lesson is to teach students about the different types of clouds. This fits into the ‘bigger picture’ because it will help all students to understand how certain clouds mean different types of weather. Students need to understand what the different types of clouds are and be able to predict what type of weather results from that cloud type.
As a result of this lesson:
• Students will be able to identify the different types of clouds: cirrus, stratus, cumulus, cumulonimbus, nimbus, etc…
• Students will be able to predict what the weather will be like base on their observations of cloud types.
