This activity is to be used to help students learn how to read and create a weather map, including the various symbols. It uses information within QR Codes to prompt the students on what to draw on a weather map.
How to use this activity in the classroom:
Break students into 5 groups. Give every student a weather map (I always copied the weather map with the symbols on back to save paper, and so every child would have a key for reference). Give each group of students a QR Code card. Have the students scan the codes. With the information within the codes, have students draw appropriate weather symbols on their map.
This activity includes:
-a blank map
-student key for weather map symbols
-QR Code cards for 5 different groups of students (each containing information for 2 cities)
-answer key for what is within the QR Codes
-possible modifications for activity
