This serves as a perfect practice (classwork or homework) worksheet to become familiar with weather station models. There are 8 station models, and one is already filled in as a sample. Students are provided with data like temperature, dew point, pressure, current weather, wind speed, wind direction, cloud cover, etc. In the corresponding circle, students will place all of the information in the correct places. This will allow students to see how huge amounts of information can be represented in a small space, making it very useful for weather maps. This is based on NYS Earth Science Regents curriculum, although it can be adapted for any location. The NYS Earth Science Reference Tables is available on line as a .pdf for using as a guide with this worksheet. It contains the weather symbols and another sample station model.
