This 92 page weather themed activity pack is full of hands on learning fun for preschool and kindergarten aged children. This pack has activities that touch on skills like colors, counting, gluing, cutting, tracing, drawing, matching, patterns, sorting, science and so much more.
The Activities Include
Word Wall Cards
: Thematic vocabulary terms to display throughout your unit. Great for a writing station and word wall.
Cloud hunt Drawings
: Go on a cloud hunt and draw what types of clouds you see and the shapes you see in the clouds.
: This is a great fine motor counting activity for little ones to strengthen their fine motor hand skills.
Puddle Jumping ABCs
: Practice letter and sound recognition with this fun rain themed activity.
: Sort the different snowballs by size.
Tracing & Cutting Strips
: A variety of different styles of cutting and tracing strips have been included. Laminate to reuse and add to a ring for handy storage. The great thing about these is that they can double as both tracing and cutting strips.
3 Part Cards
: Three-Part Card consists of a card with the picture with word label, a card of the picture, and a card with the word label.
Clothespin Clip Cards: Beginning Sounds & Number Cards
: Laminate these cards and then have your little ones use clothes pins to clip the beginning sound/number of pictures on the card. You can make them quick check by putting a mark on the back of the card before laminating.
What Is Different
: Have your little ones circle the picture that is different.

: This is a cut and paste pattern activity.
Capital/Lowercase Matching Puzzles
: Children with match the cloud and lightening strike capital and lower case letters.
Kite Color Matching
: Match the color word cards to the correct kite card.
What will Melt In The Sun
: There are two different recording sheets provided…one with predetermined items and another that is blank. Gather the items and place in a muffin tin and sit outside. Have your children predict whether the sun will melt the item and then record the result.
Daily Weather Graphing
: A blank calendar is provided in case you want your students to draw the weather for each day. A weather graph is provided if you just want to graph the results. You can also choose to use the calendar and then at the end graph the results.
Count & Cover Clouds
: Print the cloud sheet and laminate. The number cards come in two different formats. Have your children pick a card and then cover up the correct number on the recording sheet with the card to create a match.
Dot Marker Pages
: Use Dot markers, pom poms or some other circle shape manipulative to fill in the rainbow. A Color and black and white page have been provided.
Build A Rainbow
: Use colorful circle cereal to build a rainbow. These make great sorting mats. You can have them glue the cereal on if you choose. A color and black and white sheet have been provided.
Cover A Letter
Print out the pages that you wish to use. You can use colorful circle stickers or other colorful manipulatves. Write the letters on the colorful dot stickers to correspond with the letters on the sheet you chose. You can choose to have the children match capital to capital or you may choose to write lowercase letters on the dot stickers and have them match it to the capital sheet. It is totally up to you how to complete it. You can also just call out a letter and they have to find it.
: Using yellow playdough, have your little one create rays and add them to the sun mat to complete the sun.
: Have the child practice using a glue bottle by placing dots of glue on the sheet where it says and then gluing some raindrops to the cloud.
Raindrop Counting Mats
: Print and laminate all of the counting mats and then either use the provided raindrops or some other manipulative you have to practice counting out raindrops. Each sheet indicates how many raindrops to add.
: Print laminate and cut the puzzles along the lines and have the students practice putting them together in order. 3 different puzzles are provided.
