This packet contains 9 really fun literacy centers that your students will love. This is perfect to extend your Weather Units and provides integration among your subject areas.
These centers are designed to meet the needs of the multitude of skill levels you have in your classroom. Some centers provide work on basic phonics skills, where other centers are designed to challenge higher-leveled students.
The games include:
Noun Sort - students will put together a variety of noun puzzles.
Short Vowel Word Sort- students will sort words based on their vowel sounds.
Twisted Rhymes- students will put together tornado puzzles based on their rhyming sounds.
What am I? - students will read riddles to determine what the mystery weather word is.
Color by Number- students will color sight words by number and then read and trace a weather sentence.
Cloudy With a Chance of Sight Words- student will have to match sight words together.
Mixed Up Poetry - students will put together three Weather poems.
Caption That! - using real life weather pictures, students will write interesting captions for them.
Scrambled Sentences- students will unscramble and record sentences about weather.
