Students can use this activity to review various weather tools and their purposes. Students simply roll a die and answer the corresponding question. This can be completed alone, but works well with partners or small groups. Use this activity during your weather unit or as an engaging test review activity!
There are two versions. The first includes basic questions to check that students know what each weather instrument measures. The second includes statements like "The reading on a barometer is rising." Students have to apply their knowledge of weather tools to make an inference about the weather.
The answer keys can be printed on the back side of the activity sheets, allowing for students to quickly check their answers. I recommend laminating these so you can hang onto them for years!
Also included are student answer sheets in case you want students to record their answers. They are printed two to a page to save paper.
Aligned with Virginia Science SOL 4.6.
