This is an amazing weather unit. I created this unit to accompany my science curriculum and also to enhance my literacy and response to non-fiction text writing. If you are using the Journeys reading series, this would be great to use when you are teaching the Super Storms lesson.
What is included?
-Four printable non-fiction books.
-Weather Observation Journal
- Vocabulary matching puzzles for each book (great for pocket chart)
- Response to Non-Fiction text writing paper. (For research)
-Instruction for Weather Tools projects
-Instruction for research projects
-Printables and instructions for creating the bag project for organization
-Comparing, contrasting and classifying graphic organizers for note taking.
Not only does this unit teach a science unit, it also teaches organization. Inside the bag, students are able to keep all of their printable books (sources), observation journal, projects, and all research.
