This unit includes full lesson plans and student task cards. It is designed to be used as a week long, centers-based exploration unit.
Monday: Build schema, read a book about weather (suggestions included) and start brainstorming everything your students know about weather. Explore different types of weather and track the week's or month's weather.
Tuesday-Thursday: Students will visit a series of centers, learning all about weather. Directions and suggestions are included for each station. Data sheets are also included with each center. Two emergent readers are included in this unit as well.
Friday: Students review the week's learning and complete the lesson on the water cycle.
Centers/activities can also be spread out throughout the week if needed, or condensed into one day.
