Description

Looking for a fun way to learn about the weather? Use these colorful cards to teach your children one vocabulary word or concept each day for 150 days.

Discover words like 'meteorologist', 'anemometer', or 'jet stream'.  Learn about vocabulary specific to different weather events such as blizzards, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

Learning lots of words and concepts associated with a topic can be overwhelming.  But, these weather vocabulary cards make it easy!  Each day you will show your children the picture and the word for that day's card and read the short description on the back.

Then, at the end of each week, use the system provided to 'quiz' your children. Practicing active recall of the information will ensure your children have fully learned each of the 30 words or concepts by the end of the month.

These cards are perfect to put in a morning basket or to accompany a science curriculum. Your children will have fun and learn all sorts of information about weather.  They may even be inspired to learn more about the word or concept after your short discussion!

This set of 150 cards will teach your children about weather a little bit each day for 5 months! It includes the following:

General Overview of the Weather (30 cards): weather forecasting tools, concepts such as jet stream and el niño, as well as a variety of types of weather.

Summer/Fall Weather (30 cards): heat waves, droughts, wildfires, hurricanes.
