I LOVED doing this small group project in French 1, and it was always a favorite of the kids too!
Basic gist of the project :
Students work in groups to present the weather of a French-speaking country as a weather team on the news. The forecast is in French, and each student presents the weather (both a general description and a high temperature for the day) for two cities and recommends an activity to do based on the forecast. The group also has to make a map of their francophone country together and use it when presenting their cities.

I use this project in French 1.

-numbers (giving the temperature in degrees)
-math (converting to degrees Celsius)
-geography (picking a francophone country that is NOT France)
-basic vocabulary (hello, goodbye, my name is….)
-speaking in front of a group
