The following tool is used independently in my class of First Grade students in the morning when jobs are being completed in the classroom. At the end of the week, the questions are completed and the weather is reported to the class. However, these pages can be used in a multitude of ways.
This is wonderful tool for a classroom job, a project that can be completed weekly in science class during a weather unit or it can be used during class morning meetings for younger children.
This document contains three pages.
Page 1: Weather chart to be colored each day for a week by the weather watcher. Enough space if left for more than one type of weather to be reported each day.
Page 2: A weather song that can be sung to the weather watcher during a meeting or job time.
Page 3: A question page to be completed by the weather watcher on the last day of the week. There are four questions about the chart, one question about temperature and one question asking the Weather Watcher to make a prediction about the next week.
