Linking NGSS Science in ELA is a perfect fit!
This unit takes a trade book "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" and ties the story into the NGSS standards of Weather and Climate.
As students read, they are asked to answer the question:
Where in the World is Edward Tulane? Scientific concept of climate and weather from the book is recorded. Students will examine the text and apply the concepts of weather and climate.
