"Weather and Clouds" will help your kindergarten or first grade students learn, understand, and practice using the terms used when talking about weather and clouds. It also will provide you with resources to make your unit come to life. By integrating science, non-fiction, and fiction texts into your daily lessons, you not only create an enthusiasm in your students, but you can create the "hook" you need to engage even the most reluctant learners.
This packet includes many resources including: 3 part cards, (nomenclature), vocabulary pictures (great for ELL students), center activities, art projects, craft ideas, STEM/STEAM activities, anchor charts, recording pages, printables, graphing activities, student books, fully written out lesson plans, language, writing, art, and science activities and more!
Students will learn and use these vocabulary words:
wind, fog, hail, thunder, lightning, storms, extreme weather, tornado, hurricane, sunny, foggy, windy, wind sock, waterspout, cumulus, stratus, cirrus, clouds, cumulonimbus, rain gauge, weather, and more!
Each word has a vocabulary card (with a real life picture). My students love being able to make real life connections from looking at the high quality photographs.
