This set includes various weather Listen & Draw activities and two weather word searches. This is a fun, engaging listening activity which is successful with all age groups. I have used it with my ELL's/ESL students but this would also work really well with young learners and is a great NO PREP filler activity.
For younger students who can’t yet read, the teacher can read the instructions to the class. You may want to complete the worksheet before or during the activity.
Older students can work independently in pairs or small groups while the teacher walks around the room and addresses any questions. You will need to print the instructions for students.

- Listen and draw: Easy (3 sets of instructions)
Teacher asks students to draw weather related pictures e.g. Draw a fluffy cloud.
- Listen and draw: Intermediate (3 sets of instructions)
Teacher asks students to draw weather pictures. e.g. Draw something you wear when it’s cold.
- Listen and draw: Advanced (3 sets of instructions)
Teacher asks students to draw weather pictures. e.g. What season comes after summer? Write the answer.
- Listen and draw: Pair work (6 versions)
Divide students into pairs. Student A describes the pictures to student B. Student B draws the pictures on their worksheet.
- 6 Read and Draw worksheets: Read the word/sentences and illustrate them.
- 2 weather word searches
- Teacher directions
Key vocabulary: rainy, cold, sunny, tornado, cloudy, windy, snowy, thermometer, weather/wind vane.
