Description

Save time and energy while challenging your students with these 5 light and sound bingo games. Games are an engaging way to motivate students to connect with content and each other – even in a remote learning situation.

The 5 games provide for differentiation with several levels of play and visual helps with full color chips. Three games also provide a remote/virtual option. You can share the Virtual Link with up to 30 students who can play remote bingo on any device, even remotely, or print out his or her bingo card.

Each version contains 30-44 unique cards and full color markers to run off (and laminate for long lasting fun). No two bingo cards are alike. Game can be used as an easy sub plan or when teaching with remote learning. Each card contains a statement, definition, example, graphic or fill-in-the-blank which corresponds to a clue or consists of a word or phrase and players must match with a word or phrase called.

The full color chips can be used for differentiation, ELLs or as a matching anchor activity. Plus links to a dozen other online games and videos are included. Video work well for remote ans well as in person learning. Games can be played individually, in pairs or teams.

Analyze and interpret data on natural hazards to forecast future catastrophic events and inform the development of technologies to mitigate their effects. Emphasis is on how some natural hazards, such as volcanic eruptions and severe weather, are preceded by phenomena that allow for reliable predictions, but others, such as earthquakes, occur suddenly and with no notice, and thus are not yet predictable. Examples of natural hazards can be taken from interior processes (such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions), surface processes (such as mass wasting and tsunamis), or severe weather events (such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods). Examples of data can include the locations, magnitudes, and frequencies of the natural hazards. Examples of technologies can be global (such as satellite systems to monitor hurricanes or forest fires) or local (such as building basements in tornado-prone regions or reservoirs to mitigate droughts).
