I created this book to use as an assessment for my weather unit. My students are supposed to be able to identify and explain types of weather and weather instruments. This can be used to assess or throughout lessons as you introduce new weather vocabulary.
For the assessment/activity students should write 1-2 sentences and draw a picture to clearly explain the weather vocabulary word.
This book includes 17 weather vocabulary words:
weather, atmosphere, water cycle, evaporation, condensation, precipitation, rain, snow, hail, wind, thunder, lightning, tornado, hurricane, thermometer, rain gauge, anemometer and a page to write about their favorite type of weather.
The booklet has handwriting lines to help students write neatly and a blank space for drawing the picture.
*This book is set up to be printed front to back. Make sure you choose the correct way to flip pages either to top or on the long side so that you don't end up with pages upside down.
