Web Quests are a well-structured way to get students to explore the internet. After they’ve had some basics in navigating the World Wide Web, choose one of the 10 web quests I’ve used in my 4th and 5th grade classrooms to test their still in navigating the web, reading for information, and answering specific questions. The Web Quests range from easy (with 12 questions) to more difficult (with 37 questions). The final web quest is open-ended - it requires students to research and relay information in a poster form to assess their word processing and graphic design skills.
The subjects covered in these Web Quests are:
Seven Wonders of the World
Rocks and Minerals
Answer keys are provided for all of the web quests except the one which requires research for a poster. Website URL’s are provided for all assignments. This is a 27-page download in PDF form.
