This is an expanded webquest (from differed action and executive action) where students explore past and present immigration policies in the US. For example, they look at policies proposed by Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Trump, and Reagan. They visit various links, and answer questions that are geared to helping them familiarize themselves with the key points of the policies. At the end, students are asked to think about the different policies and write down pros and cons of each in a chart. This activity can be used prior to an IB Spanish IA. After doing webquest, students can discuss their own opinions on the policies and say which one they would promote if they were president. This can serve as the interactive oral activity. This will work well for IB Spanish Unit on Immigration or for any higher level Spanish.
