Do you know what percentage of Costa Rica is a national park or a protected environmental space? You will after this webquest! I designed this webquest to introduce Realidades 3, Chapter 1, but it goes well with any environmental unit, from Spanish 3 to AP.
Students access and interactive website where they can find out general information about Costa Rica's national parks, and then respond to questions regarding two of their choice.
Students then use google maps to visually explore the parks, while responding to questions using the vocabulary from the chapter.
Finally, students write a postcard using the preterite about visiting the national park that they explored.
This is a full day activity, and it is quite fun for the students to do. The website itself is interactive and easy to understand.
This works well with a preterite review, and helps kids prep for using nature vocab in context.
The QR code is used for people on cell phones.
